TRAINING PROGRAMS FOR SHIP’S CREW CERTIFICATION FOR SERVICE ENGINEERS
ACEBI-Service provides training programs and certification to Ship’s Crew and Authorised Service Partners enabling them to meet new IMO regulations entering into force on July 1, 2006, ref. MSC/Circ.1093 and Resolution MSC 152(78).
11. Weekly and monthly inspections, and routine maintenance as defined by the manufacturer, should be conducted under the direct supervision of a senior ships officer in accordance with the instructions provided by the manufacturer.
12. All other inspections, servicing and repair should be conducted by the manufacturer’s representative or a person appropriately trained and certified by the manufacturer for the work to be done.
ACEBI-Service has established a training center in its facilities in France. According to the latest SOLAS regulations the content and extent of training programs is based on different qualification levels.
The ship’s crew can be trained and authorised to carry out the weekly and monthly inspections while the 1-and 5- year inspections have to be carried out by manufacturer service technicians or by those of skilled service companies homologated by the original equipment manufacturer.
ACEBI-Service can provide full certification program to service engineers and appointed service partners for 1-and 5- year inspections on its original equipment.
Certificates with online traceability will be provided, see authorized service partners
A Certificate of Serviceability meeting the IMO regulations will be issued by ACEBI-Service’s authorised representative after approval of 1 & 5 years inspections.
Ship’s crew can be trained to execute service and maintenance up to but not including annual inspections. ACEBI SERVICE offers crew training on maintenance and operational manuals, for weekly & monthly maintenance.
Training courses for crew can be executed onboard ship or at ACEBI-Service’s facilities.
ACEBI-Service will provide all individual participants that complete a training course with a certificate – see attached models – that is valid for 3 years with a possible 1 year extension.
